Please mark your calendars to join us at our Annual Meeting, during which we will honor two special guests with Valley Champion awards:
  • Wally King is co-founder of HBK CPAs and Consultants, which has grown into a business consulting and accounting firm with 17 offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Delhi, India. King also is a military hero and someone who is a shining example of the Greatest Generation. A World War II combat pilot, King flew 74 missions before he was shot down on his 75th over Germany and captured. He spent his final weeks of the war injured and in captivity before he was reunited with Allied forces.
  • Warren native Gary Wagner, Professor of Economics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Wagner, Editor-In-Chief of the Public Finance Review, served as Vice President & Senior Regional Officer for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland from 2016 through 2018.

Wagner will keynote the Annual Meeting breakfast event April 10 at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield. There, he plans to provide a national perspective on the dominant themes in economic development, traits visible in successful regions across the U.S. and the strengths and challenges facing the Mahoning Valley.

Also at the event, the Chamber will recognize two Valley business leaders with the Spirit of the Valley and the Spirit of the Chamber awards.
