Whether you’re a pinball wizard already or newcomer to the game, be sure to mark March 25 on your calendar for the first-ever Corporate Pinball Challenge & Fundraiser noon to 4 p.m. at Past Times Arcade, 419 N. State St., Girard.
The team building event – billed as a battle of businesses with bragging rights at stake – will feature four-person teams representing each participating business. Businesses can, and in fact, are encouraged to have multiple teams.
The fee to register is $200 per team and includes lunch. Each team will play for a charity of their choice, with the tournament champion’s designated organization receiving the proceeds. Players are guaranteed at least eight games.
RSVP by March 19.
Awards for the winning team and its participants will be given at the end of the event, which also includes time at the start for networking, practice and lunch. Play will begin around 1 p.m. after a brief overview of the tournament’s format. Trophies will be given to the winning team and its participants.
Ahead of the tournament, on March 15, Past Times Arcade will provide free admission to tournament participants to practice.
Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Board Member Rob Berk is CEO of Past Times Arcade and president emeritus of Berk Enterprises. The arcade has more than 400 classic and current pinball machines and more than 200 classic arcade games.
He opened the game room in 2023 to share with the public his Guinness World Record-recognized collection of pinball and video arcade games.
