At our November webinar, Ruth M. Bowdish, MSPsy, LCDCIII, CEAP, SAP, Managing Director for On Demand Occupational Medicine, will address stress in the workplace.
Employers are facing higher levels of stress than ever before as they are working within the context of COVID-19, isolation, social distancing, turnover rates, drugs in the workplace and a myriad of other situations that may arise.
The objectives of the presentation are the following:
- Participants will engage in a discussion on events in their work, as well as the supervisees, that may trigger concerns related to mental fatigue or burnout.
- Participants will participate in a PowerPoint lecture in which they will be educated on the symptoms, risk factors and protective factors for stress in the workplace.
- Participants will develop an understanding of ways mental fatigue and stress can be addressed/treated as well as prevented.
- Participants will engage in a discussion on how they will implement the presentation material into their work environments and supervision styles.
- Participants will learn to define self-care and recognize the importance of implementation.
