MVSC Webinar: And the Joan Kovach Safety Leadership Award Goes To... Gasser Chair Company!

At our April MVSC webinar, we will proudly recognize and congratulate our 2021 Joan Kovach Safety Leadership Award recipient, the Gasser Chair Company, for their exemplary work in developing a company-wide safety culture. The Youngstown-based business is also celebrating its 75th anniversary this year!

For the presentation of this award, we are trying something new!

MVSC Steering Committee member and sponsor Tony DeAscentis (CEO/Co-Founder of Ving) will interview both Mark Gasser, president, and Rick Williams, director of Safety. The interview will cover the Gasser Chair story, leadership insights into developing a safety culture and the Gasser Safety Program from new hire to ongoing shop floor interactions.

Claudia Kovach of City Machine Technologies and sponsor of the Joan Kovach Safety Leadership Award, will also present the award founded in her mother's honor to Gasser Chair during a special ceremony via video.

The Gasser Chair Company is a well-recognized American manufacturer of high-quality seating for international hospitality and casino venues and has operated as a family-owned and managed business since brothers Louis, Roger and George Gasser founded the company in 1946.
 
Today, George Gasser's two eldest sons, Gary as CEO and Mark as president, continue to lead a dedicated team of highly skilled and talented employees to producing fine quality, built-to-order seating, beginning with a sharp focus on design and engineering through all aspects of the manufacturing process.
